SALVATION

About Us

I have a question for you: Where are you going when you die?

You will either experience eternal joy in Heaven, or eternal suffering and sorrow in Hell. There is no third choice, contrary to what the world tells you. You can know right now, beyond any shadow of a doubt that you will go to Heaven when you die. However, in order to gain entry to Heaven, you must first be Saved. What does it mean to be Saved?

Salvation comes from placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, asking Him to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your heart. You see, John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for all of our sins. That’s right - He died for your sins, too.

Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” God is perfect, sinless, and Holy. We, as sinful humans, fall incredibly short of the perfection and holiness of God, the Creator of the Universe. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin [payment] is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The spiritual death that was just described means one thing – eternal separation from God in a place called Hell. We are sentenced to Hell because of our sin. However, there is wonderful news! God has made a way for us to escape Hell and be with Him in Heaven for all eternity.

Romans 5:8 says “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross in order to pay for all of our sins. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and wilfully gave Himself for us. His perfect life and His perfect sacrifice is what allows us to become Saved. Jesus took all of the world’s sin as he was dying on the cross and paid for them with His perfect life, so we wouldn’t have to pay for them with our own lives. He then was buried in a tomb, and was bodily resurrected three days later. Today, He is alive and at the right hand of the Throne of God. In fact, He’s watching you right now.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” This Bible verse tells us that: 1) We are saved through our faith in Jesus Christ 2) It is a gift, and as such, it must be received 3) There is nothing we can do to save ourselves from Hell. It’s not what we do, but what Jesus did for us that saves us. It’s not who we are, but who Jesus is that guarantees our eternal security in Heaven. In John 14:6, Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” As we just discussed, Salvation is a gift from God that we must receive in order to be Saved. Are you ready to receive your personal gift from Almighty God?

Romans 10:13 says “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Whosoever means anyone and everyone. Whether you are rich or poor, healthy or ill, successful or struggling, happy or sad, young or old, God sees you for who and what you are: a sinner - who He loves - who is in need of Salvation from Hell. “Shall be saved” means there is NO DOUBT that you will be forever and eternally saved by Jesus Christ. No matter your current life, no matter your past, He will save you.

Acts 17:30 says “God… commandeth all men every where to repent.” Repentance is agreeing with God that you are a sinner, which we all are. Simply believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, was buried, rose from the grave, and is alive in Heaven right now. Because Jesus Christ was resurrected from the grave, this shows His eternal power to grant you everlasting life when you receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:9-10 says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

In Luke 18:13, a repentant man prayed “God be merciful to me a sinner.” No matter who you are, where you are, or what you are doing, look up to Heaven right now in repentance. Simply pray a prayer like this: “God, I know I am a sinner. I know that I need you to save me. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and that He rose from the grave and is alive today, in Heaven. Forgive me of my sin, save me, and come into my heart. I now accept you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life with you in Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen.”

If you just sincerely prayed for God to forgive you for your sins and to save you, then… YOU ARE SAVED!

Now that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, there are some important things for you to know.

1. You can NEVER lose your salvation (Romans 8:28-30, John 10:28).

2. You now have the Holy Spirit of God within you (Ephesians 1:13-14), (1 Thessalonians 4:7-8).

3. You have been saved by Jesus Christ in order to serve Him (2 Corinthians 9:8, Hebrews 13:20-21).

4. You are to tell others about what Jesus Christ did for you (Matthew 28:19-20).

You may be asking yourself, “What do I do now that I am saved?” Well, the Holy Bible states that you should join a church which teaches and preaches the Word of God and be baptised in deep water as a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:12, Acts 2:38). Pray that God will lead you to the church He has for you. In order to grow spiritually, you should read your Bible daily, pray to God as often as you can, and regularly attend church in order to fellowship with others who have been saved and so the Holy Spirit can minister to you through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word, the Holy Bible. This is how you will grow and mature, spiritually, as a born‐again Christian.

If you actively seek the Will of God in your life, and do all you can to draw closer to Him, He will bless your life with joy in your heart and the grace you need to live for Him as you tell others what you have just been told – tell them how to be Saved.

If you just accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, we would like to know about it so we can pray for you. Please Contact Us and tell us about it.
